Welcome Back

Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Families,

Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year at Lemon Grove Academy Middle School. It is with great pleasure that I write this letter to you as the incoming principal of Lemon Grove Academy Middle School. It is truly an honor to become a part of the LGAM family and community. Even though I have only had limited interactions with the faculty and parents thus far, I can already tell that it is a unique and special place that I am incredibly excited to become a part of.

I come to you with 23 years of experience as an educator, ranging from elementary to high school. Most recently I served as a Multi-Tiered System of Support Coordinator at Lincoln High School, my alma mater.

Throughout the year I volunteer my time in many communities within San Diego, helping support the growth and wellbeing of children and their families. With that in mind, I will be calling upon our faculty, staff, parents, and Lemon Grove community to work as a singular unit so we can best serve our students.

I am truly honored to be given the opportunity and look forward to immersing myself completely in our school and in the Lemon Grove community. I believe my main responsibility is to put our teachers in the best possible position to succeed, as they will in turn put our students in the best possible position to succeed. I look forward to meeting all of you. Please feel free to contact me with any questions, concerns, or ideas you would like to share.

Tamara Muhammad, Principal
