Welcome Back, WolfPACK!

This is your proud Principal, Dr. Ruiz, and Assistant Principal, Ms. Chavez. We are thrilled to begin the 2023-2024 school year with you at Lemon Grove Academy Middle. Along with our teachers and staff, we have put in countless hours of preparation this summer to make this the best school year yet! We appreciate the voice of our parents and community and have taken the time to restructure our protocols and communicate expectations to all students and teachers. 

Safety on our campus is our number one priority. Attached here is a link to our new 23-24 Parent/Student Handbook. All teachers will be consistent in communicating these rules and protocols to their classes so that the message of safety and procedures is clear. The new protocols were designed to increase academic engagement and model our school-wide focus on respect through our core values of Persistent. Authentic. Courageous. Kind. These Handbooks will be distributed to all students and they will be asked to sign and return a Handbook Agreement Form, along with your signature as well. 

We want our PACK to be inclusive of parent involvement, so we will be sharing opportunities for you all to participate in our middle school experience this year. The LGSD Parent Volunteer Handbook is a great way for families to get information on how to become a volunteer, along with visitor protocols. For communication, we will be sending our Weekly Howls to families on Fridays and posting events and campus news on our Class Dojo and Instagram (@lgam_wolfpack). We have a wonderful Parent Volunteer Coordinator, Ms. Rodriguez (Email), who is available to assist with connectivity to Infinite Campus and keep you in the loop on your child(s) academic progress. Below is some information to help plan ahead for the beginning of the year:

- Our first Parent Information Meeting will be in our Community Room on Wednesday, August 30th from 5:00pm-6:00pm. 
- P.E. Clothes are available for purchase: $10 shirt, $10 shorts, and $20 for the set. Payment for now is cash only and sales will be in our Main Office. 
- Back-to-School Night will be on Wednesday, September 13th. More information to come.
